They say true love never dies and it’s so true when you read this story of a husband who kept sending roses to her even after he died.

This Valentine’s Day tale of love will really put all the rest to shame.

It was all discovered on Valentine’s Day. Shelly Golay from Casper, found out that, before her husband’s (Jim Golay) death, he had set up a plan to deliver her a bouquet on every February 14 until the day she died.

Shelly Golay, Wyoming, was shocked to get a beautiful bouquet of flowers for Valentine’s Day, as her husband had passed away in July from an inoperable brain tumor.

“I thought the kids sent the flowers to begin with,” she told NBC affiliate KCWY. So Shelly contacted the flower shop to get to the bottom of the Valentine’s Day gift, and that’s when she found out what her husband did before his death.

Jim had arranged to have flowers delivered to his wife every single Valentine’s Day for the rest of her life.

Express your love and wish your sweetheart with these romantic Valentine’s Day Greetings!

Hypervocal shared a sweet story of love everlasting — beyond the grave, even.

The text reads:

“My Sweet husband, Jim, and I were married for 46 years. Each Valentine’s Day, he’d send me  the most beautiful flowers containing a note with five simple words: ‘My love for you grows.’ Four children, 46 bouquets and a lifetime of love were his legacy to me when he passed away two years ago.

On my first Valentine’s Day alone, 10 months after I lost him, I was shocked to receive a gorgeous bouquet addressed to me from Jim. Angry and heartbroken, I called the florist to say there had been a mistake. The florist replied, ‘No, ma’am, it’s not a mistake. Before he passed away, your husband prepaid for many years and asked us to guarantee that you’d continue getting bouquets every Valentine’s Day.’ With my heart in my throat, I hung up the phone and read the attached card. It said, ‘My love for you is eternal.”

It is difficult to break the bridge that connects two hearts no matter wherever they are in the world. When someone we love dies, we never quite get over them, they always remain tucked safely in our hearts. This is exactly what happened to Shelly and Jim. Their love didn’t die even after her husband’s death.

Till then, spread some love, love and more love!
